It was a day game in July 1988. Giants were in St Louis. It was the game when Ozzie and Will Clark got into a brawl by second base. That was one month after my first MLB game...the Phillies game. That Phillies game.....THEEE hottest I have ever been at a baseball game! Even though it was a night game, it was MUGGY with zero breeze. It had been VERY hot that day and the hear was still coming off that Astro Turf. It was such a hot day / night, when we arrived back in Blytheville, Ark, close to 12:30 AM, the temp on the local bank sign still read 93 degrees. The Will Clark game started at Noon but felt 20 degrees cooler. Go figure. After the Will Clark game, I REALLY wanted to go up the Arch but the wait was way tooooo long. So instead, I had my very first beer at that Paddle Wheel Boat Restaurant / Bar on the river right behind the Arch. We had a great time BOTH games.
I was living in Kansas and didn't move to St Louis until 1993. I didn't get interested in St Louis sports until several years later so nope... sorry.. I don't recall your second MLB game.
