I was watching the Cubs / Cards last night and was sorta surprised at how quiet the stadium was. I know it was a low scoring sorta boring game but there were long stretches where it was VERY quiet....no Organ music, crowd was a murmur at best. I had just told my Step Son how electric St Louis fans can be. I mentioned my first MLB game back in 1988 when I saw the Phillies at Bush Stadium. Both the Cards and Philies were near the bottom of the NL East at that time but it felt like a playoff atmosphere. I was blown away. Just wondering if it's a different dynamic or something??? I know down here, Gator games in Gainesville are nowhere near as loud and exciting as they were 25-30 years ago. More of a Hoity Toity crowd IMO.
