I'm in the process of getting a dental implant, Both molars in the upper right side of my mouth are gone and you really need at least one molar in each quadrant of your mouth in order to chew. I haven't been able to chew on my right side at all which is really awkward and annoying. The answer for me was a dental implant. The process started last August and it is still not done. They warned me when we started that the whole process would take about 9 months. It requires work to be done by both my periodontist and my dentist. I think I'm almost ready for my dentist to make the implant crown. I'll find out at my next dental appointment in a couple of weeks. The total cost of the implant including the crown will be over $9,000. GULP.
