I believe it..

I crashed the regular balsa wood kites and the bat kites.. the balsa wood kites would snap the balsa wood and tear the tissue paper while the bat kites were designed for the cross support "beam" would break loose on impact and not smash the kite.. I found that all out the hard way lol
