Yeah, sounds like you got struck by what I call..

"the thunderbolt".. when you see a photo of a kittie cat or doggie and immediately KNOW that's the one.. and you'll do whatever you hafta do to save them.. And, they don't take away all the pain, but they sort redirect it in more of a positive way.. instead of crying so much over your passed pets, you concentrate more on giving a good home to another little life that really needs it..

I always say if you can just get over the initial grief, you can realize that YOU are a great pet owner and now have the opportunity to save another life.. to totally turn anothe rliving being's life around for the better.. that's what means the most to me...
