After I get my master's degree next year, I plan on going to Army OCS.

Mostly for family reasons. I'd be the fourth generation going into the military. great grandad was a Marine, grandad was Air Force, uncle was Navy, and my dad was in the Marines. And I'm the only remaining sibling able to keep it going.

The student loan assistance is nice, too.

I've been told to avoid talking to a recruiter too early, due to the never ending harassment.

But now you've got me rethinking my strategy.

I'm in good shape with no health issues. I can already pass the new ACFT.

I don't like the attitude you're describing, however.

I take a lot of pride every year on Veteran's day...
