TSGT Singletary. He sorta reminded me of the baseball player Gary "Sarge" Matthews, looks wise. That guy was cut n dry and NOT a car salesman. He told me about jobs the USAF needed but worked to get what I WANTED... "Fire Protection" / Crash Firefighter. I talked to him for the first time in August 1985. Being a Firefighter meant my job would not let me leave for Boot till 3 Feb 1986. During those 5+ months, he had me and several others on wait status, learn ranks, who to salute and not. Had us practice some facing moves. Just lots of little things to make Boot Camp just a tad easier, I REALLY appreciated that guy.
