My oldest Son went through MEPS almost a year and a half ago (Sept 2019) since then, he has been on waiver status. We THOUGHT it was for his hearing only because we cleared him through a Cardiologist for a funky heartbeat that was deemed totally normal. WELL....I talked to his LATEST Recruiter yesterday and told me my Son was on the back burner of Waivers because it dealt with his heart?? I asked if he knew of the Cardiologist clearing him and he seemed baffled. After ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL this time, my Son has been waiting on THEM.....as told.... and they have swept a LOT of proactivity by my Son, ex Wife and me under the rug. I told the Recruiter..... "FIND OUT!" He said he would. Told my Son to stay on it like stink on sh**! I told my Son to give it maybe two more weeks and then he SHOULD reconsider the US Air Force. The kid SHOULD be finished with his first year in the Military. I know Covid has slowed things but I know of two other Waiver people getting their call for the Navy. I tell ya, when I was out of High School, Recruiters were like hungry car salesmen. These days?? They don't seem to give a damn at all.
