From the movie "The Best of Times".. Kurt Russell's wife is talking to someone and mentions the tow they live in - Bakersfield - is number 3 on the Russians Nuke list because of the winds.. Which is kinda funny because in traveling and meeting people from all over the US, they ALL say their hometown is number 3 on the Russian's nuke list.. Including MY hometown, but that's legit because w ehave a NATO pilot training facility here..
The other urban legend I hear from EVERYONE in the US is that they have a lake, and by the dam, where nobody goes, are catfish the size of Volkswagens.. swallow a diver whole.. EVERY town has a lake with Volkswagen sized catfish by the dam - including my home town.. but I actually DID dive that lake to dispell that rumor and I saw no fish whatsoever..
