are still significantly higher than normal BP, which should be around 120/80.. I was taking the highest dosage of Olmesartan and I sill had crazy BP numbers - like 180/120 and so on... So, my doc added another med to try and get it down - I was already at the highest dosage of Olmesartan, so, couldn't up that any..

So, she first tried Bystolic, which didn't work, and then tried Cartia, which did work.. Cartia is a heart medication, but also helps control BP.. So, now I take Olmesartan in the morning and Cartia at night before bed.

I don't know what BP med you're on, but with your numbers STILL being so high, they're either going to need to up the dosage, or if you're maxed out on the med, add another med like, Cartia or Bystolic, to your treatment..

It took me several years to get my BP right.. not for lack of trying, it was just weird.. I felt fine, but my BP was at stroke level.. I had two surgeries cancelled because BP was too high.. in addition to the Olmesartan and Cartia, I have a THIRD med that I'm supposed to take the night before surgeries, so they don't get cancelled.. lol
