In so much as serial killers rarely stop until they are caught. They usually escalate things.
I wonder if both he and Jack died mid-spree?
The Yorkshire Ripper died a couple of weeks or so ago of COVID. If he'd never been caught he'd have been as famous as Jack. He was questioned by the cops relating to the crimes on 9 separate occasions over the 5 years he was killing. But because of the leading officer's obsession with a fake tape sent in by a guy with a Geordie accent claiming he did it, he was always let go.
A total fluke they ever caught him when he was stopped with fake number plates (tag plates).
There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.
