I bet the numbers are VERY VERY low the last 40 years. The WWII generation?? Seems almost EVERYONE had their houses paid off when I was a kid. I think it goes hand in hand why its so hard to have close neighbors as time goes by. I look at the only house I ever had built just 18 years ago. Of the 20 houses that were built, as of 7 years ago, there was just ONE original owner on the street.
