Your last sentence made me think of my Great Grandmother.

She was born in Liverpool England in 1887. She passed away when I was in 10th grade...May 1983. I have often thought that she was not only living but old enough to remember the first airplane, the Titanic, WWI and II, JFK and man landing on the moon.
