325,000 American WWII Vets still living....

November 20, 2020 08:06AM
read that today and I couldn't help but wonder how many WWII vets worldwide are still with us? Gotta be millions?

Which leads me too.... best military uniforms ever. I am an Army Vet and one thing I was always jealous of was that our Class A's were the worst of the big 5... Navy, Air Force, Army, Marines, Coast Guard. Our utilities were only 2nd worst... the Air Force had the worst (at least they did back then, early 70's).

The best, and I'm including the world here -- Those uni's Patton liked, (in the movie Patton, and I think it was Morocco?), were FANTASTIC.

I like the Swiss Guard, (not sure they count as military) but a bit over the top.

As much as it grieves me to say it the Germans had that uniform thing down pretty damned well.

Worldwide I have yet to see any "Camo" that I'm all that fond of.... some I like, but nothing pushed all my buttons. Funny that, I LOVE hunting camo.

So overall I have to go with the Germans.... but not the SS... silly uniforms IMHO.
