you were lamenting that you had to lock the door to your house to prevent thefts. This is kicking it up a notch.
What happened around the country is that the drug dealers moved their operations into small towns because the "small town" police were less prepared to control it with their limited resources. I'm from one of those towns where all the police previously had to do was give out parking tickets, break up a bar room fights and ticket speeders.
I read my birthtown's newspaper every day and drugs are now rampant.
The thing is, and what makes no sense to me is that these towns are the kind where everybody knows your name. . . there isn't the anonymity where the dealers are buried in the cloud of large populations So, I'm not sure how this is happening.
