I always heard how simpler the 1950s were from my Parents also. BUT......Kids of the 1970s and 80s were the last to have FREEDOM. There were no creeps hanging out in the patch of woods where we built forts. We rode our bikes everywhere. Also, in the 70s and 80s, "ADULTS" did not act the way we see today. WAY too immature, IMO!

Society became too soft and to Techno. I learned a LOT via "Playground Justice". Parents PARENTED and did not let a VCR or video game be a baby sitter. How many times have you been to a restaurant and seen families of 3..4...5. SIX sitting at a table and not saying a WORD because they are drooling into phones?? Kids need to get out side and face plant in the dirt or knock a friend silly in a game of football. There are no emotional outlets. Or haven't been for quite some time. NOOOOOOOOOW......... We have a bunch of people who cannot handle failure or dispute and worst of all....COMMUNICATE (That's what phones n games are for, eh?)

My Parents always told me I had it better. Me??? There is NO FREAKING WAY I'd wanna be a kid in today's world! Outside of internet making homework easier.....NO WAY!
