I checked and they're 1º cooler than us today... at 111º.... but I think you're probably right 'usually'. But then there is this:
I live in farm country, as do you.. so the radiant heat here is much MUCH better than say in Fresno where it's solid concrete and pavement. I'd guess that 95º in Fresno feels hotter than 110º here at my home.
