There are certain foods I prefer to pick out myself. . . especially fruits and vegetables. Although I don't eat steak very often. . . that is something I want to see for myself. Same with fresh seafood. To have a stranger just randomly picking these out goes against my grain.
Certain foods make no difference. . . canned. . . frozen. . things like sugar and milk (although I always go by the "sell by" date) are OK.
I've been fortunate in that the grocery stores I go to are very careful about the number of people allowed in at one time. . . One store (Aldi) has a person at the outside cart line cleaning the handles before allowing you to go in. They only have so many carts available and sometimes you have to wait until somebody comes out to get one. And then you can go in.
Question. . . how much additional cost are involved in delivery. A few stores here also offer pickup service when you order on line and the bagged groceries are there waiting for you. But there is an additional cost.
