My favorite add on is over easy eggs. . . yum. . . You burst the yolk, adding to the depth of flavor as it oozes over the pancakes. I like lots of butter, too. The fat adds to the taste.
As for others. . . I do like chocolate chips and bananas. And that's, essentially, the only addition I've ever had. . .well. . . and blueberries. Outside of that, I'm a purist.
