DTV ST

Just saw on my new DTV bill that the ST will auto renew at $48.99 a month x 6 months! Called and asked for a reduction due to the uncertainty of the season. I was told there is no reduction so I cancelled. I really expected to be sent to another dept for cancellation but nothing. May call back in a few weeks to see anything has changed. Has anyone had a better outcome?
