Its difficult.. I lost my dad to a blood clot in '88.. he left and didn't contact me for 16 years, then called out of the blue and we did lunch a few times.. then he passed.. just so weird.. Mom passed in 2014 in her sleep - had no idea it was coming, so you never know when your last conversation will ever be with them, so make them all count...
