I watched "The Conjuring". Yup, horror. Did I already mention this?
My grandkids said it was a 'must' see.... I can see why they said that. It's somewhat presented as 'fact'... same investigators that were involved in the Amityville Horror. I don't know much about this couple.... supposedly they investigated many house hauntings. So my grandkids are of that 'teen' frame of mind where they don't believe it's 'true' but 'hey, you never know'.
Now lest you think I'm saying anyone who believes these tales, (should you be one), is naive like a teenager - I'm NOT saying that. It's just easier for teens.
No, I don't believe Amityville or whoever that couple is for a second... but that's not my point... my point is: "Is it a good movie?". AND - I thought it was ok. Thumbs up from me.... nothing 'great' about it but well made, fun to watch. I was entertained. NOT as good as the 2 horror movies suggested to me on this board.
So before and especially after "The Conjuring" my grandkids were telling me about what they say is the scariest horror movie of all time. Scarier than the Exorcist, scarier than Psycho... scarier than any other move ever made. It's called - "The Nun".
It gets... (from memory), 5.4 stars on IMDB. Not good. Not good at all.
Soooo, here I go... scariest movie of all time according to my grandkids... I strung some garlic, I have some holy water next to my comfy chair, I've got my Ruger .45 within arm reach, and I have a blanket just in case I need to cover my eyes. Wish me luck. - JamesJM
