I'm likely older than you Mama. The circumstances you posted make the prospect of travelling a hard decision to make. I wouldn't fly anywhere. The best decision for me was to not go on attending to my best friend in the face of knowing his family and friends would likely not be wearing masks-as all of them simply do not understand how severe this is. Even I was just following my wife's directions as to wearing a mask and using gloves, even when I was huggin my friend and hold his hand. And if this isn't COVID you are right it could be a bacterial infection that he may have had. Anyway, given his slipping condition I don't think it was an unreasonable decision to go over there. Even if I might be relieved its not COVID this has still been the worst sickness of my life. But I cold not have typed this the last 4 days. So I suppose this is a good sign.
