I have a Ridgeline, and I have a couple of friends who own Tacomas. My Ridgeline has been totally reliable. The winters here are harsh and the roads are terrible year round. On top of that I am the worst vehicle owner because I never take good care of my vehicles. I don’t use my truck for hauling much, or towing so I can’t talk much about that The all wheel drive is great for winters. I’ve driven it through some pretty heavy snows and have not had issues. It starts every morning in the winter whether I’ve remembered to plug it in or not, and it gets down to around forty below zero a couple times each winter here. About once ever two years when I have a lot of junk to move somewhere I will wish that I had a truck with a bigger bed, but other than that the truck is perfect for me. The in bed trunk is convenient and the cab has plenty of room when the whole family is traveling together. It drives like a big car in the highway.
My friends also love their Tacomas. They are super reliable in the same harsh conditions that I described above.
I like the look of the Ford Rangers. I don’t know much about them though. I will look into buying one after my Ridgeline has had its last ride.
