Well-the movies I listed I actually enjoyed in addition to respecting the "movie making" aspect to it. Then again I'm sort of a weirdo. I love the ins and outs of Hollywood. In my other life I may have actually been involved with the production of movies. Nowhere in the world-including Great Britain and the fast coming Romania-does anything compare with what Hollywood can do. Like I wrote: we all are different in our taste. Probably the most recognized and honored to be the greatest movie ever: Citizen Kane-I've never been able to sit through it -although I've tried more than once. OTOH I can watch "Chinatown" over, and over, and over. Not so much because of Nicholson's character but because of the scandalous but true story of the exploding development in So Cal.
