we didn't have to really stockpile anything... including food. Rapidly perishable foods like Milk, Bread, were never really in short supply in the stores... which to note... there was never a shortage of anything... the only thing that was interrupted were the supply lines.
I had enough beef, venison, to get thru ohhhhh, many months. As it turns out we didn't have to even touch it... although I did when I got an urge for some venison.
I buy beef in bulk, usually.... although I did not this year... I had enough left over. This situation did teach me, however, to keep my freezer full. So I won't skip my usual side of beef next year. - JamesJM
