to save a $35 toy.
(just kidding).
Just saw this thread... yeah, obviously a rivet. And a touchy situation since the toy is so fragile. Although in farming we dealt with this problem, in various forms, on a daily basis we seldom had the 'fragile' concern.
They do make tools for this... but again, even these tools, small as they are, most likely cost more than the Toy cost. - JamesJM
Yeah, I know. There are 6 Mighty Pups and you used to be able to buy them individually. You can't anymore. They only come in the gift pack with the stupid rivets. I saw a video on Youtube where a guy was demonstrating them when they first came out and when he turned them upside down, I could swear they had a Phillips-head screw on the battery door. In fact, when the guy was demonstrating each figure, one of them didn't light up at all and he said, "uh-oh I'd better go fix this". He was gone about 2 seconds and when he came back, the figure worked. I'm pretty sure he changed out the batteries which he could NOT have done if they'd had one of those stupid rivets. If I want to buy them invidivually, I'd have to get them on eBay. I sent a message to an eBay seller asking them specifically if there was a screw or a rivet on the item. Still waiting to hear back. If there is a screw, I'll be buying all 6 again, but individually which will cost me a pretty penny but it'll be worth it if I can change a battery without a hassle.
This kid has NO idea what I go through to keep him happy.
