Well, from what little I heard..

It will still cost $65 million a year for their protection, so its not like they're giving up everything.. if they had to go work at McDonalds in government housing maybe I'd beleive they were more on their own, but THEIR government housing is probably a $40 million dollar 17 bedroom villa on a beach somewhere..
