Are you talking about the regular TV show specials? Like the Dean Martin show? Lucy? Carol Burnett? Those were great!
My family was a 'little' late in getting a TV... early 50's... but we didn't watch TV much during the holidays, (50's I mean), so I missed a lot of those very early Christmas specials. By the 60's we were watching them all.
