Well, if you have an appleTV, you can get HBO No or HBO Go, I forget which, and watch all the old Game of Thrones to start from the beginning. I think they are even offering a free week so you could try it and see.

Harry Potter + LOTR is a decent description, I guess. Not perfect, but close enough. It really is a well done show from top to bottom, IMHO. Personally, I think they are a bit over the top with the sex and a bit with the violence. But it settled down some after the first few seasons. The thing that really got me was that they are absolutely not afraid to kill of major characters. You really have no way to predict who is going to survive, unlike Harry Potter or LOTR.
