will light up all the local media, FaceBook, Twitter, coffee shops, lines at walmart, the hardware store... pretty much everyone in Fresno County would cancel everything they are doing to follow the 'single falling snowflake' updates.

WE pray for snow, beg for it, covet it.

It never happens... or as close to 'never' as it gets. As I've said many times on this board - in my lifetime is has snowed here ONCE... and by that I mean snow that hits the ground and STICKS... IOW... you can see a coating of snow on the ground. Several times I've seen a flake or two falling but once it hits the ground it's gone... only that ONCE did it stick.

And the funny thing about it is: It was a full on blizzard.. this was 1962. It began in the evening and we stayed up all night watching it. By morning the snow was up to our windows. School was closed for 2 weeks... we are not prepared for snow.

My kids, grandkids, have never seen snow here. Love to see it... before I ride off into the sunset.
