check every GFI.

They are not always wired to the section of house (as one might think), my Mom's house had the back room totally dead no power to any outlet. I checked the GFI's in both bathrooms and kitchen. They were working...came across the GFI in the garage....the GARAGE...reset that the back room worked.

I wanted to bet the crap out of the electrician who did that!!!!! I have a bad German temper, thanks Dad

The garage is on the opposite side of the house from the back room.

I hope you get it fixed 79....
