When you sell the house the inspector will figure it out and then you just pay to have it fixed for the new owners.

Not sure if this is pertinent but I have outlets in the garage. When the outdoor receptacle didn't work I thought I had checked everything. But one of the garage receptacles had a "push in" breaker thing. Once I reset it, the outdoor receptacle worked again. SST has probably answered your question, him knowing the jargon and all, but I thought I would chime in and throw a dart blindfolded.

I don't like messing with electric. I worked as an assistant for an electrician for a summer when I was still in high school and saw him get lit up a few times... phew.
