What makes this story so cool, was that the first VH LP had only dropped a few months earlier and every guitarist on Earth was freaking out over Eruption - not knowin ghow he did the tow handed hammer-ons he became so famous for.. Until you saw him do it, you didn't have a clue.. So, here I am waiting to see EVH show me how to play Eruption - because he's the guitar God of the Earth, and Rick Derringer does it right before him.. I'm amazed that Derringer, during the short time on the tour, was able to learn it and play if perfectly onstage that quickly.. Kudos to him for that..
