After Hurricane Irene, last year, local news reported on this. There was COUNTLESS cubic yards of trees and limbs that was collected. Some was used for lumber but most was grounded for particle board and paper. I have heard of metals being sold to scrap companies. Some garbage is burned and a lot DOES go to regional land fills.

  It just made land fall, a 3 hr drive from here, at Cat 4.....
