I think we are going to see more and more of these intense weather patterns with increased intensity.

The drier we are on the west coast the more intense the weather will be on the eastern part of the US. The ocean is warming and it doesn't take more than 1-2 degrees to cause what we are seeing. October is becoming the new summer.
