or anyone else that knows that law better than I do. But first..

Mama... I don't know what I would have answered... the previous question or waited... I suppose it would have depended on the way the Attorney stated my Juror #... for example... had he turned to me and said, "And you Juror #?"... I would have probably answered the previous question.

Oh, and another thing before I ask my questions of you law experts... I didn't get chosen... I'm a free man.

Ok... during the question and answers from the Defense and the DA what are they allowed to ask? - - - specifically... this is a hard question to phrase, what I'm getting at is that over the last two days of listening to them question prospective jurors to me they were simply 'trying the case'.... no... they didn't mention the specifics of THIS case, (I don't know what the specifics were)... but they would create scenarios and then ask the jurors how they would respond. It was blatantly obvious, IMHO... where they were going to go with the prosecution and the defense.

Can't say I know... but I'm 99% sure I can tell you precisely what evidence the DA was going to present... right down to how reliable she happened to think each bit of evidence was.... and also precisely what the Defense was going to counter with. I was thinking the only 'blanks' were the names of the accused and the witnesses... and even THOSE were posted in big letters on a banner visible to everyone in the courtroom.

While I'm at it... here's a few things I NEVER want to hear EVER again... because I heard these words so many times in the last few days that I couldn't forget them even if a Star Trek super weapon zapped my brain.

"The Burden Is On The Prosecution" - - This is #1. EVEN THE BLESSED DA said it a hundred times or more... the Judge and the Defense said it so many times they occasionally interrupted or spoke over each other to repeat it. We in the pews, (are they called pews? laughing smiley ) began to giggle after a while... we couldn't stop ourselves.

"Can you follow my instructions on what the law means even if you don't agree with the law?" - Asked of every juror, several times, and I'm pretty sure he asked the court reporter that question once.

I'll add just one more... but you've already guessed this one:

"Do not speak about this case or the people involved with anyone".... great info, important... and an admonition that I had to fight with every fiber of my being to keep from screaming, "I KNOW ALREADY, I'VE GOT". - JamesJM
