In 86 days, I will go for a 20 minute ride in a vintage WWII SBD Dauntless dive bomber, in Peachtree City, Georgia. Just South of Atlanta. You guys know my interest in WWII History, ESPECIALLY the battle of Midway! From the time my Dad took my Brother and I to see "Midway", In SENSURROUND, in the Summer of 1976, I have always been fascinated with the SBD. Over the years, I have gotten the "WHAT??" look when people are gooing over the P-51 or Corsair and I say the SBD rules. LOL After I scheduled yesterday, I actually had butterflies just thinking about it. Gonna be SOOOO cool! I HOPE they will let me keep the rear seat canopy open. I doubt they will but I'd love to do just one dive...even if just a few hundred feet???? LOL
