I watched it in my backyard last December....the cool think it is early 9 to 10ish not 4am.

we laid out on lounge chairs and it was really clear (I too live out in the country) At one point they were happening every minute or couple of minutes. I highly recommend as very amateur star gazer. I really enjoyed it and plan to do it again in December.
