I think he's a genius. I don't throw that word around lightly. He has a direct line to whatever it is that allows people to make good music. He has an ability to take the song somewhere unexpected and an uncanny knack for sound. Brian Wilson had it too. It was something more than skill or even the ability to write good songs... His guitar solos are almost rudimentary at times but he has such a feeling for it that you forgive what he lacks in skill and it still sounds great. I can't explain it like I want to... Its just that sometimes people have an extra sense for music. I'm not sure I would say that about more than a handful of people.
