Oh YUCK....

well, sorry... only one song made me yuck - - - Sugar Sugar, and here's why, for the most part:

In very late 1969 the radio station I listened to ran a top 100 songs of the 60's..... not sure if it was a 'national' rating or just 'local'... probably just local because the nation couldn't possibly be so dumb... Sugar Sugar won..... #1 song of the 60's. ALL the 60's.

Sugar Sugar by the Archies beat out the Beatles. Beat out Aretha Franklin. Beat out Jimi Hendrix. Beat out the Doors, The Who, Credence, the Supremes, the Tempations, Bob Dylan.

They frikkin' beat out ELVIS PRESLEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now normally I'm a kind, gentle, humble soul... and will give you the benefit of the doubt... but if anyone here thinks Sugar Sugar by the Archies was the best song of the 60s you're so off your flippin' rocker that without question that little hampster that was keeping your brain going has died. (not saying anyone DOES think that... just warning you. ).
