Yes, I would change some things...

it came out quite good... very good... but it wasn't quite moist enough. I'm researching smoker websites getting idea on how to correct that.

I also need more "Rub". I didn't soak it in a 'brine' before smoking it.... most recipes didn't suggest brine for brisket.... I think I should have and that it needed it.

Funny thing... overly 'smoked' anything is BAD... so I've been very cautious with the amount of wood... HOWEVER... I haven't come CLOSE to over -smoking anything yet. I keep going up with the wood when nearly every smoker site in existence suggests going 'down'. And no, I'm not fond of overly smoked anything... but so far the best I've achieved is a very slight smoky flavor.

Now take note: I'm seeking perfection. laughing smiley Fact is: This brisket I just smoked was about as good as I've ever had. - JamesJM
