..and she's a total sweetheart.. Very small, long, thin Beagle - I almost think she has Miniature Greyhound in her due to her body profile.. Just as sweet as can be and, for the first time ever with a Beagle, I get the sense that she really wants to learn the routine and wants to be a good girl.. lol.. She is what they call a Blue Tri-color, so she has the typical Beagle white/black/brown coloring, but it all has a "lighter" tint to it, hence, I guess, the "blue".. She has the prettiest marking son her neck - I'll hafta get a photo of that..
Yesterday, she and Gypsie went for two walks, did two dinner runs, went to Pet Co to get her some new gear, and had steak for the first time, ever! She did love that.. She did have an accident on the new carpet, but we don't even care.. We have Pet Protect carpet and the pad has plastic on both sides so liquid doesn't penetrate the pad, so no biggie and it cleaned right up..
Sorry, no really good photos yet, but here's one of her getting a nap in.. Her foster mom says she was attacked by a coyote at some point, so she has a couple of small areas, but you can barely see 'em - in her pic, I think the white dots on her side were part of that attack.. Our only concern is with her voice.. She has an extremely weak howl and hasn't actually been able to bark yet.. Now, she just had her spay surgery and was intubated, so her vocal chords might be swollen, or the coyote attack might have damaged something, or possibly her previous owners de-barked her.. I don't know if she would be able to howl after that or not.. Geez, I hope her previous owners didn't do that - most morons who dump animals won't go to the expense of a debark surgery, tho.. It doesn't bother us - just wish dee knew the story, ya know..?
Anyways, so far she's working out great.. She's a face licker (never had one before!) but not annoying so - if you bring her close to your face, she'll calmly lick ya.. As it stands, I think she's gonna be an awesome dog and be with us a long, long time.. We're already head over heels in love with her!
