It scares me, however.
And this from someone, ME, who is much more into tech than you or Mama. I use it frequently, like what it does... in many ways... and detest what it does in many ways.
I go to a LOT of sporting events, as you know... but this applies to much more than 'sports'... attend any event, ANY event... and look at the crowd... eyes glued to smartphones.
In my own home.... at the slightest tinge of boredom, or often no boredom at all, smartphones come out.
Part of this is my fault... and today the fault of parents. I'm a grandparent, and older, and lack energy.... but when my first ohhhhh, 4 grandchildren were born I still possessed some semblance of energy.... and I used it... outside, ATV rides, playing ball, building forts, exploring, I made it fun, I made it exciting... to stay 'indoors' was anathema. I can no longer do that.... so my youngest grandson... to speak to him, at any time, I have to tap his shoulder so he will remove his BEATS headphones.
Kids are smart today, no doubt about that... smarter than I was at their age and it's not even close. So I don't know... but I feel in my bones something is being lost, something critical to our survival. - JamesJM
