he didn't even pinch hit for him, he just pulled him after 60 pitches, while giving up only 1 run in 4 innings striking out 7. Hill getting pulled that early, moved everybody up earlier out of the pen, and both Morrow and Kenley threw the day before. Also the use of Stripling was a real head scratcher. If Morrow is going to come in if the first guy gets on with Ross throwing, he might as well just start the inning.

I'm a big fan of Roberts, and I hope he wins manager of the year, but I think he got a little too cute this game....
