I think we've already seen that. You can't fault the dodgers for using that type of approach given they won more games than any other team (Astros were second) Personally, I think its because today pitchers are years ahead of their actual age by the time they hit the majors. They have started much younger in their life than those in the 50s and 60s. There simply wasn't the youth sports like today that starts kid out playing in competition. As a result they are likely on the down side of arm strength-in terms of potential injuries. Then again the use of data today almost commands short innings for starters and multiple use of relief pitchers. It is what it is.
