Yeah, I remember Tinker.. That's the kind of injury that you really don't know if surgery will fix and older dogs probably can't recover from.. I know he has a special place under the Chinese Elm.. We just planted a white Magnolia tree in the backyard as a little "tribute" for Lucie.. she was cremated, so she's forever with us..

Gypsie's recovery has been nothing short of a miracle.. She can run full blast and tug on a harness pretty hard for a 14 pound munchkin.. She does wobble here and there and isn't always 100% sure with her footing, but most of the time you'd never think there had been a problem.. In fact, she's so energetic now that we're afraid she'll re-injure herself.. She's extremely cute and was obviously bred as a hunting dog.. when we take her on walks, she goes CRAZY on squirrel scents and starts screeching at the top of her lungs.. We're afraid the neighbors think we're beating her lol.. We're going to have to keep her calm for a month after her heart worm injections and we have NO idea how we're going to do that.. Even in a crate she might get too fired up..

Sounds like you have your hands full with dogs.. which is always a good thing..! Dogs are the best.. I know I never want to live again without one and I think from now on when it comes time to adopt, I want to find Beagles that have had it really rough - like Gypsie - or a Beagle Freedom Project dog, and adopt them and spoil them - even if it means flying cross country again to go get them.. That was an exciting trip, in itself..
