it took me NO time to get used to progressives. And I mean no 'getting used to them' at all... I walked out wearing them and never noticed a thing different except that I could now read.

And they came with very dire warnings, "You're going to hate these for a while"... "They could take months to get used to and you may never get used to them".

That was when I first got them. Today my 'reading' eyesight has grown much worse.... distance is still A'OK.... and since my reading eyesight has gotten worse I noticed that I progressively learned to tilt my head up ever more slightly as the years wore on.... but since it was so gradual I really never noticed a change. I can tell I DID adapt, however, by... for example, typing this message... and noticing how high I now hold my head at the computer.

And by the way... I'm NOT suggesting others shouldn't worry about it... I think I'm a rare exception... nearly everyone I know that wears progressives today reports similar to you and Iowa. - JamesJM
