I got a cheapie ($90) just to get a feel for it in hopes of getting a Phantom in a few months.. Probably not a good idea because the Phantoms probably have a lot of on-board stuff that keeps the drone stable, while the cheapies are all over the place and mega difficult to control..
I got the idea last April in Bora Bora as a couple we met and became friends with had one - his footage in Bora Bora is STUNNING.. I want one for dive trips to do overhead shots of the islands and overhead shots of the dive boat on the dives and whatnot.. We already have 2 4k gopros, so just need the drone itself.. what keeps me from pulling the trigger is the transportation of the drone itself o trips.. We already have a 3rd huge bag for all our dive gear, and usually both other bags are pretty full, as well.. Gotta get that figured out first..
Great video there, man.. You're gonna have a lot of fun with that thing...
Friendship is like peeing your pants.. Everybody can see it, but only you can feel the warmth..
