I am NOT an ear bud, or for that matter 'over the ear' fan... like you I'm a giant fill the stage and then some speaker kinda guy. Which is probably why I dont' really listen to music much with earbuds or over the ear head phones. I do, but for one thing, the main thing, the THING that drives me INSANE... you can't get earbuds or headphones that come any where NEAR the volume I want to listen to certain songs at. I just finished a sentence with the word 'at'... the grammar police are going to have me for lunch.

Back to iPods... I have my first.. a big one from LONG ago.. it holds a lot of music, I forget how much storage it has. It's in my garage... hooked to a speaker system. I leave it there... I COULD have used THAT for my car... but I didn't because - - - - - - - well, I don't have a good reason why I didn't... I just didn't. I suppose it's just too much work to go get it, carry it to the car, then take it back from the car and back into my garage. I would never be able to complete that series of steps without breaking it or losing it.

Related sidetrack - you know, sstrams, football season is about to begin and 'football music' recommendations are very much welcomed... and I PREFER the 80's stuff to today's music. Currently I am loaded with Judas Priest and Firehouse "AS PREPARATION" (enough for the entire season, 6 teams, 10 games each)... but I know me.. and 'me' is going to soon want to expand that list to other artists. Put your thinking cap on.

By the way.. the big 'video' I bragged about earlier? I knew the 'red tape' would be formidable... but I didn't have a clue how formidable it would actually be. Filming on campus is the kink. I haven't given up, and in fact have a lot of video already on my computer... BUT... it may not happen. That saddens me, a great deal... AND, it saddens the High School's administration as well.. they are NOT the bad guys but their hands may be tied. The High School Administration, in fact, are my biggest fans.

So sad... another 'remember the old days' thing.. because back 'when' this wouldn't have been an issue at all. - JamesJM
